The results are in! Over 50 videos were submitted for the 2015 National Principals Month video contest, and four winners have been selected (two schools tied for third place). The contest called for students to make a one- to two-minute video giving “props” to their principal—telling us why they love their principal and what he or she means to the students, school, and community. The winning schools will each receive a $200 Best Buy gift card.
First place: Henry Hudson Regional School, New Jersey
These students painted a memorable picture of life before and after the arrival of their current principal, Lenore Kingsmore.
Second place: Gunston Middle School, Virginia
Gunston students explain how Principal Lori Wiggins employs “The Three Cs”—creativity, connection, and communication—to inspire and lead her school.
Third place: Burlington County Institute of Technology – Medford Campus, New Jersey
This video celebrates how Principal Michael Parker is a true jack-of-all-trades.
Third place: Scott County Central High School, Missouri
In this impressively edited video, students and teachers express how much of an impact Principal John-Mark Jones has had on them and their school.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a video and helped celebrate principals across the country! You can view all of the 2015 video contest submissions here.
