A Google search for “college scholarships” yields 112 million results. What if a student could narrow that search to generate options that were more focused on his or her attributes and aptitudes?

This week, the National Honor Society (NHS) introduced NHS Scholar Dollars, a scholarship search tool powered by College Board. Now, NHS members will be able to more efficiently explore scholarship opportunities. The tool provides members with filtered results based on the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

NHS Scholar Dollars is accessible through the NHS website and has been developed in association with the Get Schooled Foundation.

NHS Scholar DollarsDr. Jonathan Mathis, director of the National Honor Societies, explains, “College access is a critical concern for the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the parent organization of NHS. The availability of this tool provides one more vehicle to ensure that our nation’s highest achieving students have the most efficient resources at their fingertips to pursue their higher education aspirations.”

The launch of this tool also represents the latest in a multi-pronged initiative of new programs and services unveiled by the National Honor Societies this academic year to promote the college, career, and lifelong success of members. Learn more at www.nhs.us/scholardollars.
